Minha História
I am Ligia de Moura Lilla, a teacher specializing in learning disabilities and teaching Portuguese as an additional language. Throughout my professional career, I have dedicated myself to providing an inclusive education, based on respect and acceptance, where each student is seen in their uniqueness and potential. I deeply believe in the transformative power of education as a tool for social advancement and character development.

My pedagogical approach is based on affection and empathy, creating a safe environment where everyone, regardless of their difficulties, can feel valued and encouraged to learn and grow. As a mother and wife, I recognize the importance of establishing solid emotional connections in the educational process, creating an atmosphere of trust and respect that favors the integral development of each student.

I am the daughter of a mother from Minas Gerais and a father from Rio de Janeiro, with indigenous, Portuguese and Brazilian ancestors. I grew up in an environment where humility and cultural diversity were always present, and this taught me to value and respect different origins and life stories. I believe that we are all human beings and, as such, our identity should be respected, regardless of skin color, beliefs, or any other difference. Multiculturalism is one of the foundations of my work, as I believe that the exchange of experiences and respect for different cultures enriches not only education but coexistence in society as a whole. For me, true education celebrates diversity and teaches students the importance of respecting and understanding others, building together a more inclusive and harmonious world.

My passion for nature inspires me to integrate values of respect for the environment and harmonious coexistence into my teaching practices. In addition, I have a strong commitment to volunteer work and solidarity actions, which I believe are fundamental to the formation of more aware and responsible citizens. I had the opportunity to work as a volunteer in both Brazil and Africa, experiences that enriched my worldview and strengthened my desire to promote inclusion and equality.
For me, education is a process that goes beyond the classroom. I am fortunate to be able to experience the world and its diverse cultures, which led me to undertake an academic exchange in Portugal, where I expanded my knowledge and experienced cultural exchange intensely. I believe that traveling gives us a unique sense of freedom, and this experience inspires me to foster curiosity and the search for new horizons in my students.
I am always looking for new learning experiences and ways to enrich my teaching practice. In this space, I make myself available to collaborate, share knowledge, and transform realities through education. My work is driven by the mission of helping my students overcome challenges, find their strengths, and prepare for a more just and egalitarian future, full of opportunities.
Let's explore the possibilities of learning, solidarity, and personal transformation together!
